Help. Wheels locking when fully turned.

Randomly over the last few days, when I turn the wheels all the way left or right my runner comes to a complete stop. If I force the gas I can make it go but I start to hear metal noises and it feels like somethings gonna break.

I have a small amount of rubbing at about 80% turn but the rubbing clears after 80% turn radius and then it just feels like the e brake is activating (but it’s not).

I lifted my truck about a year ago. 3 inch bilsteins, 1.5” body lift and a .5” toytec front spacer lift.

First time I’ve had an issue like this.

I can’t make u turns at all and even pulling in and out of a parking space is pretty embarrassing.

Anyone ever have this happen to them?

If it's not the CVs then maybe the front wheel bearings are on the way out. Going straight down the road they're OK but when you try and make a tight turn it puts a bunch of sideways stress on them and they're binding? If there's enough play it might even flex the wheel/rotor combo and jam the brakes.

Jack up the front end grab the tire at the 6 and 12 and see if you've got any considerable play?

Sounds silly, but you're sure the center diff is unlocked?

Omg it was the center diff. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. Derp. Thank you!!

I did the lift myself and just did my first off-road trip so I guess I was just jumping to conclusions

Glad it was something easy! I forgot to unlock after a beach run and pulled into a parking lot to air up and had a similar experience. Fortunately with the beach roads they have some sand on them so there was mostly just a lot of tire chirp and hop haha.

Yeah that button needs to have a flip casing over it or something, I thought I was about to be out a lot of money.
