Help wit remote start!

We are currently installing a viper security system and remote start in my buddies 1999 Limited 4Runner with the factory alarm system. We can get the unlock/lock to work, but we cannot figure out the remote start. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean? On my viper system, the lock and unlock buttons need to be pressed simultaneously until you get an audible beep. It's about 2 seconds.
