Hi, I bought a used '98 and the clock isn't working! Idk if it's the battery, faulty connections, or it's actually broken... How would I go about checking this out and where would I find help?
James-first off be sure it is plugged in . So you would have to pull the radio bezel and check for that first.
If it is plugged in the back connector kind of wiggle it around a bit and see if anything changes on the display. This is a common 3rd gen issue and search google or this forum or Yota Tech.
There are a couple of folks out there that can repair it if you like. Or find a replacement at a junkyard or Yota Tech Marketplace of this forum's Classifieds.
Search back a few pages in the 3rd gen sub forum or just search "clock" and I will bet you will find some other folks that have had this issue.
