help with a few problems

hey im new to this thread and actually a new 4runner owner i just got a hold of a 1987 toyota 4runner automatic trans 4x4 4cyl but has a few problems that i need to fix asap since this is my daily driver so if you can please help me

1) the heater wont blow at all
2) the transmission when cold or at cold start wont grab on to gear i have to rev it up alot until it grabs... a few block (stops/lights) later the tranny has no problems shifting from a stop

so once again i ask for your help

#1 Could be the blower resistor and or blower relay.....check both theese.

#2 Change the trans fluid, and clean everything well and replace the filter.

#1 - Check the fuse

#2 - The transmission just may be low on fluid. Check that first. (I would recommend changing it anyway but check it to make sure it isn't low.
 
So I chgannged the trans fluid and trans filter but still has the problem. Is there any other options for me or do I neeed a new tranny

proofread?? I'd recommend taking it to a professional. This is just a guess but it sounds like it taking a while for a seal to swell up on your forward planetary. Once again just a guess but it's hard to diagnose over the web. Good luck!
