My 5 piece Budbuilt skid plates showed up about 2 weeks ago with no instructions.
The front and mid skid went together no problem. The transmission skid is where I am having trouble.
Their instructions state: Installation of BudBuilt Transmission skid plate
1.) Using a floor jack and a block of wood. Lift the transmission skid plate into position. Slide the two flat metal spacer plates between the skid plate and the rear tube braces on the cross member. The longer side of it goes toward the front of the truck. Install only one long flat head bolt through skid plate, through spacer and thread into frame. Repeat for other side.
Here is a picture of the remaining braces and spacers.
The part I don't understand is about the spacers that need to go between the skid and Budbuilt cross member.
Parts 1.2 and 3 I assume are for the gas tank. 4 and 5 are identical and are clearly not for the cross member. The cross member has 3 bolts that secure the skid.
I emailed Budbuilt 3 days ago and called but have heard nothing.
Help!! :wtf:
