Help with mystery electrical connector needed!

I am putting my 1999 4runner back together after replacing both cylinder heads and am concerned that I cannot figure out where the pictured electrical connector goes. Its on a pretty short leash, so it must be on the back there somewhere! It is part of the harness that goes across the back of the engine. Thanks for any guidance you might be able to provide.

Going out on a limb and say that it connects to the temperature gauge sensor that shows up on the gauge cluster. Keep looking, the sensor is right there,

Caesar is correct.

there are 2 engine coolant temp sensors on the lower intake. the front sensor is for the ECU, the rear sensor is for the dummy gauge on the dash.

it's a pain to get at it, you might have to remove the m6 10mm nut that holds the wire harness down to get at it but it's there.
