Help with new tires/rims

Im on the market for some new tires. I want treadwrights as to save money but they no longer make 15" rim tires. Alas my truck has 15" rims and a 2 1/2 inch OME lift. My current tires are 33x12.50 R15 BFG Mud Terrains.

What im thinking is I could buy a set of 16" rims and the treadwright equivalent to whats on my truck now and still come out a few hundred dollars cheaper than what a set of new BFG`s would be.

What treadwright tire would be the equivalent to my current tires but on 16 inch rims? What rims would you recommend? I currently have just black "rock crawler" style rims. Think they are pro-comp. Not sure. I`m a complete noob when it comes to tires/rims. I know they are 6 lug rims but im not sure of the back spacing etc of them.

305/70R16 with about 3.5" BS should be about right (educated guess om backspacing). I have no idea what your back spacing is but it would be easy to find out by taking off your wheel and measuring.

The 305's only come in the Backbone flavor, which is a reportedly VERY aggressive tire. Believe me, I begged them to make a mold for a 305 in a 16" or 17" size lol. I have the Guard Dogs and love them. They come in 285's and are dirt cheap at like 500-600 delivered depending on where you live. I got my 17's delivered for $698, less then 1/2 of brand name M/T's. The V-Tec Raptor is an awesome, affordable rim if you don't absolutely have to have the "deep-dish" look.
