Help with suspension problems

I was going to install my lift last weekend. Strated with the rear first. Got the old shock and springs out. When to put the new ones In (ome 891 and bilstein 5125 series) in. Noticed that they were different it has this swivel thing on top and and I had my axel almost to the ground and it wouldn'the fit. My back cable was max out. Tbught it was supposedto b a 3 in lift. The the stud was a lot big that the normal studs on a shock. It didn't come with any bushing or anything. Thinking about call tote maybe I order the wrong one.

You'll need to compress the shocks for them to fit. It may be a little tough, but you can do it.
The "swivel thing" is a stud-to-eye adapter. It's for using shocks with an eye at the top in an application that uses a stud for the top mount. The adapter isn't supposed to have any bushings, as the eye on the shock has the bushings.
Bolt the shock in at the top first, but don't tighten the nut on the top of the adapter yet.
Using your muscles, force the shock collapsed until you can get the bottom eye onto the lower shock mount.
When installing a lift, you should loosen all your rear links, as to set the bushings in a neutral state at the new ride height. That means both ends of your upper and lower links, as well as both ends of your panhard bar.
Once your springs and shocks are installed, put the wheels and tires back on, set the rig on the ground, and tighten your upper shock adapters, and all 10 of your rear link nuts/bolts.

Surprised that they did not come already compressed. Every shock I've ever bought had straps on it so all you have to do is bolt in the bottom, cut the strap and let it extend into the upper mount.

Don't know a whole lot about shocks. I thought there all come with the stud sticking out and you just put it on. Never seen something like this.

Those are very long shocks. You will probably need bump stop extensions while you are at it. Hopefully those were included in the kit.

Got it from toytec. The front was given to me as a gift. I bought the rear.

They came out at 3in's at the rear.
