Help with Tint %

I'm looking to go darker and need to find some of you that can show me good examples of your tint.
I'm at 20% all around right now. I don't think I'd want to go less than 10%.

Anyone have some side profile photos they can show me?

I only have the stock tint on the back windows and 38% on the fronts.

20 is pretty dark already. what has you wanting to go lower?

i went with 17% on the front and 20% over the factory privacy glass everywhere else just to make it match. i would not want to go any darker, seeing out around me at night in low lit areas is a bit of a pain...

While this is considered very minor...people and police ignore this most of the time..

But check with your local DMV laws. Many states you're NOT allowed to alter any factory window tinting. Here in NH I'm allowed to have 35% tint for all glass behind the driver....0% tint for the drivers seat and windshield.

I'm pretty sure you got that backwards lol

I already know that it's not legal here in NE to have darker than factory. 20% seems dark, but it's not giving me the black and white contrast that I would like.
I'm not looking to go limo dark, which I believe is 5%. Looking for possibly 10-15%.

Here's a photo that gives you a better idea of what I'm talking bout.
I don't like the way the window's look grey. I want them darker so that it's more of a black and white effect and not grey and white.

i pretty much when the same route, i wanted everything to match. i did limo all the way around in my tundra and i regretted that decision because it did not match and i could not see jack anything backing up 50% of the time without opening the back window. i did have the factory tint as well

I mentioned that I don't want limo tint, but you bring up a very valid point even if I did go 10%. I back up often into parking spaces and this would pose a problem not being able to see well.

I used to have 15% all the way around in my Audi and that was REALLY dark. Probably be your best bet without get too ridiculous.

How are you guys having a difficult time with limo tint?

In my old 4Runner, I had 1% limo tint all around and I never had to roll down my windows to park or to see anything 'cause well...I didn't need to. I could see without issues. Even during intense rain, I still could see. It was annoying for me at first, but I eventually got used to it and loved the limo tint ever since then. You guys need to get your eyes checked if you need to roll down the windows to park...lol try going with lighter tint next time champs.

Just an example of how my limo tint looked like with my 3rd Gen '99 4R.

You wouldn't happen to have a pic that you could send to me, would you? Just to get an idea of what it looks like. I'm wondering if it's even worth forking out the money to go 5% darker.

Not really sure I'll have to check later but I think yours look great, no need to change.

THIS is just awesome. Complains about others not being able to see with 1% tint... Shows us photos of wreaked 4Runner with 1% tint.

That's 0% ABOVE any factory tint.

You're NOT allowed to add ANY tint to the front windows. If there's a tint from the factory...that's ok.
