i dont know what type/brand of tint you have but i have had llumar on all my vehicles and you can tell between the super cheap tint films vs llumar. I was in my friends car that had 5% limo and and it looked like my 15% front windows. so that maybe the case.

ive got limos in the back, and like 32%? up front, whatever the darkest i could go legally. but with the tinted glass, it makes it a tad darker then legal. but im okay with it.
as for seeing out at night i dont have any problems at all. (young eyes?) in fact its quite nice cause now i dont have to move my rear view mirror at night. plus when i reverse, i dont look out my back window, i use my side mirrors, less strain on the neck.

Thanks! I do use the rear view mirror to see behind, so I wonder if that's what they mean buy not being able to see out the back. I like it
I'd want the same tint all around though, I like the more even look instead of dark in back and lighter in front.
understandable, i too am ocd in ways, but sometimes you have to go for efficiency over aesthetics.
