The door sticker in my 3rd gen limited says the stock tire size was 265/70/16. Right now it has a set of 265/75/16 BFG KO's on it. They are wearing even and still in good shape but I can tell they will need to be replaced at some point this year. My daughter drives the 3rd gen and, while it rides okay with the BFG's on it, I know it would ride better with some milder tires. This week, I'm buying my father's chevy truck for myself. It's a stock HD truck and the wheels and tires just look ridiculous to me, so I'm going to be leveling the truck, lifting it a couple of inches, and replacing the tires and wheels. Currently it has a set of perfectly good BFG Long Trails on it. They ride well and are 245/75/16's. I'm hoping I can take these tires and put them on the 3rd gen. I'm hoping they won't be or look too small. I'm not that concerned with the width but will the height be okay such that it won't look like it's running around on 4 spare tires. The truck is currently in Florida and I'm in NC, so I can't measure the tires. I went to the BFG website and it doesn't show those tires in that size so that I can get the specs. I'm hoping the height is comparable to at least the stock tire size even if the width is not quite as much. Thoughts?
