Help with tire sizing

I have a 99 4runner stock height and I want to get 305/70R16 mud grapplers. My problem is not knowing if I will need a lift to clear them. I strongly believe I will need a lift but not sure what size. And I dont know much about lifts so I need a lot of help and specific details. Thanks guys

Just go 3in and be done with it. It will work great for the tires you want to put on. there is a section and write up on 35's. Read that and you will know what it takes and what works.

YES YES YES you need to lift.

I have 3" front lift, 4" rear lift and 1.5" body lift. I needed front spacers and or UCA's upgraded to clear the 305's or 285's.

I also had to hammer the rear of my wheel wells pinchweld and cut some of the lining. When aligned I had as much caster possible to push the tire forward.

After all this I still rub in the front when turning and back out of driveway. I still rub pinchweld area slightly when offroading and my rear tires also hit the stock rear bumper.

Consider the width of the tire to clear the stock UCA. You can clear this with aftermarket offset wheels or wheel spacers.

To fit the tires you will need a 3" suspension lift with either BL or one hell of a sledge hammer to tub the firewall, etc.
