Hi -
I'm working in my garage trying to replace the UBJs and following this thread for my DIY: R&R Upper and Lower Ball Joints - TTORA Forum
I've tried the C Clamp style ball joint press, and a 3 jaw puller, but can't seen to get them out! I ended up putting back together the old parts so the rig is at least drivable if I end up having my mechanic do the job.
BUT - BEFORE I WAIVE THE WHITE FLAG
Any tips? LBJs were so easy, and UBJs were easy up to this point. What have others done to get them out?
BTW, I'm changing them with brand new OEM parts because the driver side boot has a tear in it, and the passenger side is a crap MOOG part with a torn boot. Also, BTW, the MOOG part looks nothing like the OEM part...
