Help!!

So I just bought my 1990 4runner about a month ago. It ran perfect! Then today while driving to work, I stopped at a stop light and notice it idle'ing very rough. Then the next stop light, BOOM! it stalls. When driving home tonight I noticed the lights dim as it idles low, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

If the battery or alternator were going bad, it would cause the lights to dim at idle (alt doesn't put at as much current at low RPMs), and could cause ECM to act erratically (bad idle).

Start by making sure all your battery cable connectionc are clean and tight.

Well they are all tight.. I just noticed today that when I put my turn signal on you can see the battery jump up and down on the gauge.. Does this have anything to do with it?

There's also a crimp and a fuseable link in the main power cable that routinely goes bad in these trucks too. Go have your battery and alternator checked to rule them out, and then start checking for voltage drops in the system. Lots of info on the cable problem over at Yotatech.
