Ok ladies and gents.

Fresh from the dealership with air cooled seats. Initial assessment is the mod was worth every penny(event though the dealer threw it in).

I would recommend anyone adding this to their vehicle especially those of us in hot climates. The softex seat were removed and covered with proper perforated leather. The controls were added to the front panel as indicated by the blue lights. Everything works as advertised and the air comes out cool. Very happy. In addition, the new grill was added with wheels.

Today is a good day. Off to the trails in a few.

Forgive the angles of the photos. For the life of me I can't figure out how to fix that.

From what I gather there are lots of companies that do this. In my area I've learned of two. When I traded in my Limited I told the sales guy I wanted air in the Pro or Off Road which neither had that option available. He then mentioned this was something the dealer could have installed.

Certainly this is not a necessity but since I don't have the beautiful cool weather most of you have and I fcuking hate sweating while in uniform its a must. The dealer said its around 1K for them to install but given that its a dealership and their willingness to throw it in I suspect much less.

The 2 items that swayed me to the LE where ventilated seats and full time AWD since torrential rain can come out of nowhere here! Congrats on the purchase and also on choosing the most excellent color combo! Watch out though, I might steal your hood! I really want the hood with the scoop despite all the complaints of glare.

As a fellow Floridian I get what you're saying but the glare hasn't been an issue. Out of the periphery you do catch the scoop as it protrudes. Definitely get it though(just not mine).

I had the same exact mod done to my '17 ORP. Only difference being that the shop placed the buttons in the same spot as the original heated seat buttons on the center console (next to the rear window button). It was a shop who works with my dealership in the Denver, CO area (not sure what the shop's name is). They used Katzkin perforated leather seat covers to replace the SofTex in both rows of seats so it looks uniform. I even had them use black leather w/ red contrast stitching so it still matches the side panels & center arm rest.

Total cost for this mod for me: $3,600

Yeah, who knows what "free" really means. OP could have paid more for something else with the vehicle than I did, and it would be a wash in the end. Or, I just got hosed. Totally plausible too. Still worth it to me!
