hesitation in gas pedal

I have an 02 4runner sr5 with 150,000 miles and recently when I go to hit the gas I have to press it a few times for the vehicle to move and when it gives me this problem the trac control light comes on like my car is spinning out if anybody has any idea what the problem could be it would be very helpful

Over the past few weeks my 2001 4Runner will occasionally behave weirdly when pressing on its gas pedal. When it happens, it is usually when at a standstill and then pressing the gas pedal to move forward doesn’t do anything, not even rev the engine up. The vehicle just idles forward, which is very dangerous if you are in an intersection and can’t move anywhere! (Note that the 4Runner starts and idles just fine.) This can be due to two possible problems. Either the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system needs to be recalibrated (described in this post), or the throttle body is dirty and is sticking shut (I describe how to clean it in a different post).

i just reset the trac system and the light doesn't come on anymore but it still has the hesitation in the pedal and i have already cleaned the throttle body and the maf sensor but i do also notice when it is having the hesitation there is a clicking noise that almost sounds electronic that normally coincides with the lack of power

Could it have anything to do with your injectors
