Just got back from the dealership a bit ago. Drove home in my new ride...

So, I'm new here, but I assume I'm going to become quite a regular. I'll be seeking out much information and advice in the coming months/years.

First off, can anyone help me out finding an owners manual for a 2002 SR5? There wasn't one included with the car, and I have SO many questions that I'm sure you would all be bored with.

Second, is there anyone that can run a carfax for me on the VIN? I would really appreciate it.

Man, I need to get some sleep. Can't wait to bury myself in these forums tomorrow. :)

not to hijack your post or anything, but i'd like to know where i can find pdf version of T4R owner's and service manuals myself. and i don't want to pay for it if i can :)

back to the topic, if you need the paper manual, i'd suggest you try ebay, as i've seen a couple of manuals for sale there before. my family owns 2002 T4R so if you need a specific part of the manual, i wouldn't mind scanning a few pages and send it to you as well.
 
Thanks. I stopped at a Toyota dealer today to have the car inspected and it got flying colors. It turns out it was originally purchased at that dealership and has had all it's service performed there routinely. They had a complete history of all service issues. They said I could buy a new owners manual for like $18 and gave me a number to call. Will probably do that so I can have a copy for myself.

Took some good pics today and will post them later when I get a chance to upload them all.
 
That is a NICE looking '02. I still want to get an '02 and keep my '05 because I like them both equally. Welcome to the forum! :D

Any advice on where to get floor mats? I also didn't get the retractable thingie in the back. Anyone know what I mean? What do you call that thing?
 
i'd recommend all weather mats. i have husky floor liners and i would recommend them.

and the retractable thing is a tonneau cover. it'd probably be cheaper to find someone selling that than anywhere else. not sure how much the dealership would charge.
 
Black with tan interior......thats awesome. Congrats on your 4Runner. It looks really good. I'm sure you will like it a lot. What did you own before that?

how did you post multiple pics? to me, it looks like one

can attach only one file. or did you use your own web

picture hosting site?

also, can anyone tell me why the size of pics are limited to 140k?

(which is rather small?)

in order to post larger pic, i'd have to use my own web picture

hosting site and link it, right?

I'm not sure about why are 140, but my opinion is that because of the website maintains. Just imagine if guys will start posting 3-5Mb pictures. First they will use all available space on the server; second, it will slow download downloading threads to 1 page per hour. My 2c.

Ugh....I don't even want to think about it. '94 Pontiac Grand Am. Freaking thing was a P.O.S. A lot of that was probably my fault though. :)

I hosted the pics with Imageshack. Found here:

The forum software lets you link 6 pics per post, so I had to do two posts.

Whoo Hoo!! Got my owners manual yesterday. Pretty good service. Ordered on Wednesday and delivered on Saturday.

Went on my first road trip yesterday. Averaged about 16.65 MPG mostly all on highway. Is that pretty standard?
