New member here from Miami!
After lurking on this forum for a while, I just wanted to share my purchasing story with everyone.
I am a videographer from Miami and wanted to get a vehicle for all the space for my equipment. The first thing that came to mind was the 4Runner. We are a Toyota family and we are still a Toyota family.
So here we go. A buddy of mine is a sales manager at a Toyota down here in Miami. I put a down payment on a white TRD Pro and was told it was going to be 3-5 months. I wasn't all that disappointed because after doing my lurking, i noticed that 3-5 months was just the average wait time. They ended up showing me the exact white TRD Pro that they were going to go after. When they brought it up, it wasn't assigned a dealership, and it only had the last few digits of the vin number.
Move forward literally 5 days. My father was online looking up white TRD Pros. For fun, he started looking at all the dealerships starting way south in Key West. After roughly an hour, he made his way halfway up through Florida at a dealership in Tampa. He found one and gave me a call. I was on a job filming but we immediately got in touch with the dealership. Long story short. I was in Tampa the next morning. There is a white TRD Pro sitting on my driveway. And I got a refund from the dealership down here. Waiting 3-5 Months, down to a couple days.
Funny story, it turns out that the white TRD Pro the dealership here in Miami showed me, is the exact one that I got from the dealership in Tampa.
