Hey, VA folks--a couple of quick questions

Hi all. After spending a few months on the fence about selling/keeping my '94 T4R, I've fallen on the side of keeping it for at least the remainder of this year. That means it's time to address some stuff that's been bugging me--most notably the ticketytappityticketytappityOHMYGODMAKEITSTOPticketyticketyticketytaptaptap from the valves. My local dealers (RVA) don't seem to carry the valve shims--have any of y'all found them anywhere in Virginia? I've read that sometimes you can get lucky at a machine shop...

On a related note, do I go for the SST or not? I've websearched this up and down and I haven't come to a consensus yet between the pliers/mini prybar SST and the combination of a small flat tip screwdriver paired with a magnet (my most valuable and often-used tool--I drop stuff all the time).

Great on keeping the '94. I've got a '94 as well, up in Alexandria. I haven't needed to look for valve shims, sorry.

Yes, basically. This is no longer my daily driver so I'm not worried about having to park it for a while as I look for shims.

Try Ballos Machine in Henrico. I bet he has them, or can find them.

Thanks, Bill--I called Ballos earlier this week and they didn't carry them. The guy I spoke with gave me a couple of internet leads to chase down. I appreciate the suggestion!
