HHO hydrogen cell feed

Hello fellow members.
Has any one installed a hydrogen system (HHO) in their 4runner? how was the experience, any MPG differences (either loss or gain), any trouble with the MAF?

Don't do it, they're just dangerous gimmicks that have no real benefit. At best you're not gaining anything but a lighter wallet, at worst you're creating a small hydrogen explosive under your hood.

^^^ I agree. I went to a couple dozen websites because I didn't even know what you were talking about. All of them were trying the best sales gimmicks known to man, Yes I'm a salesman, and there is no real proof of anything. At the best it'll do nothing, at the worst it's another part that could potentially blow up in your face, and your wallet. It reminds me of the turbo foil thing that you put in your intake tube. It was supposed to make the air swirl so that it could push into your intake faster...Riiiiiiighhhttt.

Didn't the Mythbusters do an episode on this sort of thing and find out that it made no difference? I'm pretty sure they did.

Yes they did, but did it wrong.
Also after their test, they did got the car running solely in hydrogen from a pressurized container.

As all of you have pointed above, all those sales sites are full of bull, but if you youtube real world experiences, the poll is mixed, thats why I wanted to hear if any of you 4Runner owners had done it, and learn if it was a bad experience or a good one.

How much will this cost to make?

I would like to believe it works. However if it does work wouldn't manufactures R&D and put it in the market. Im sure it will sell like Bacon.

They are total BS. The came out when fuel prices went through the roof. All the "testing" you see on YT is laughable. There are NO scientifically valid tests done on the efficacy of HHO boosters. I'll say again another way, the results seen on the net/YT have no scientific controls to prove that the HHO is responsible to the perceived result.

If you want to save money and increase your MPGs its soooo simple: slow down. Simple as that.

Running an engine from a ready supply of pressurized hydrogen is easy and has been done many times. It's a completely different thing to produce enough hydrogen through electrolysis or some other method in real time to make a significant difference in an engine.
