2005 V-6 4Runner, 133k and counting.
Love our truck to pieces!
She is as tight as she was new, and keeps my wife, son, and two Labs safe and having fun. We use it as a daily driver/family hauler with light camping and off-roading. Every now and then a canoe on top.
We just paid it off this month, and we are looking forward to getting as much mileage out of her we can.
I'm impressed with several things so far:
Engine/transmission/drivetrain: Everything is functioning perfectly, I couldn't ask for better.
Interior: This interior is like a Timex watch, it has taken a beating, and not only is it still ticking, it looks great too.
Steering: Tight, good on-center feel, and no slop after 133k with mild off-roading.
Towing/Utility: Strong tie-downs below the bumpers hold anything fast, we have the "heavy" towing hitch. We recently moved cross-country from DC to Phoenix towing a ten foot utility trailer with a Harley and a Honda ST1300-both heavy bikes, and misc other stuff. Even though we have "just" the V-6 it handled the job with no sweat.
The finish is also great, and is holding up very well.
This truck is rewarding us with awesome longevity, utility, reliability, and fun.
We do our part! We never miss a service interval, and repair anything-no matter how small-immediatley. I run Mobile 1 since 100k. So far all services have been done at the "stealership", but I am mechanically inclined (former aircraft mechanic, and do all motorcycle mx myself) and I am ready to jump in and DIY. I am ordering the manuals, and will get the special tools as I need them, and am joining this forum to take care of our baby and have some fun.
Things that broke so far: Various light bulbs, drivers seat-belt inertia reel, radio and dash lighting, turn signal stalk detent for a left hand turn, frozen front right brake caliper right after a brake job. That's it!
