Hi everyone,

Recently purchased my first 4runner (first off-road capable vehicle, too). It is a 2007 Limited V8 with 102k. Came with a 2" OME lift and bilstein suspension. I think the previous anticipated the vehicle being colder weather at some point, as it has an engine, battery, and oil pan heater. Everything else is stock. Since purchase I've put it in the shop to get some schedule maintenance done: all the belts, seals, water pump, spark plugs, all fluids flushed and replaced, general tune up. It was maintained very well, just wanted to be sure I had a good fresh start on it.

I am not vehicle savvy, however, I do enjoy learning new things. It has been fun looking at pictures and reading threads on various mods I can make.

My purpose for the vehicle is to be able to get out of town, do some camping, general exploration. While it looks fun, not terribly interested in climbing trees or large boulders at this time. Just want to get out with my family.

I would be interested in joining up with any groups that go out. I've got quite a few friends with Jeeps, but it would be nice to see some 4runners in action.

Hey Shoey and welcome to our club! Damn fine Runner that you have there! Make sure that the previous owner changed out the timing belt. If not, get it changed as soon as possible! Looking forward to seeing you in the 4th gen sub-forum and seeing what you do with your Runner.

Welcome! Great looking 4Runner. Sounds like you picked up a nice one.

There is a pretty good group of Toyota owners up in Prescott that love to go wheeling and camping. Many of them own 4Runners, Land Cruisers, and Tacomas. I have been out with them in my FJ Cruiser and they are a good group of people. Most of them plan their trips over on the Expedition Portal and I know that a few of the 4Runner guys are on this forum as well. They are also much more interested in camping and exploring than hardcore rock crawling.

Hope to see you out on the trail sometime!
