First off, great to have found this forum! It seems full of great ideas and ton of active contributing members that are most helpful.
I just bought a 2013 shoreline blue Trail Edition! I could have had a 2014 for a bit more, but frankly, that front end horrifies me - I think first generation dodge durango beat with the u stick. It is a total show stopper, for me, short term anyway. Maybe it will be one of those things like the re-designed BMW 5-series that had everyone riled up a few years ago; where eventually everyone sees what is worth appreciating... I don't know
Anyhow, I came about this decision after getting a 2WD variant in Boston for a week as a rental. It was just everything I wanted: felt like truck, tight handling and overall taught feel, correct size and not too hard on the eyes. they don't make the 2WD available in Canada, so after a bit of research it was a TE for me.
I can't say enough about how great this rig already is, I boogied up Chilliwack valley as soon as I got it and did some adventuring- just great.
A few years ago I had a car and truck living in Alberta. Well, that isn't really an option in where I am living now. I felt trapped in my car, the truck was sold in Alberta. the 4R solves this problem. I can't say enough about the 4R, last of the true SUV's
I am going to start a thread in the tires forum, 'cause these Bridgestone Dueler HT 684 II's the rig comes with, really aren't ideal...
