I was looking to upgrade to Mirimoto D2 Projectors 6000k, with Gattlin gun shroud. Anybody try this yet. Also wanted to replace headlight assembly with 2002's because they have a clear lens.

I haven't done this mod yet but it has been well documented. do a search for hid, retofit, headlights ect.

another way to search is to use google to search through this site directly.

in google enter the following without quotes to search word1 and word2

"site:toyota-4runner.org searchword1 searchword2"

google will only return results from t4r

The Mini D2S are sometimes easy and sometimes require more work than they should. It depends how "to spec" the centering ring is and the bulb holder hole in the headlights is. The last set I retrofitted were off a little and the left and right cut-off didnt line up. I had to do some minor trimming and shaving to get them aligned how they should be.

IMO get the FX-R 2.0, bang for your buck they are unreal projectors. A little more hassle to mount but still just take your time and it's not that bad.

I have read about "cut off" what exactly is that. And looking at the FX-R 2.0, can you use the gattlin gun shroud?
