i got to go get them adjusted again and im in chesapeake va, and they are the 6000k diamond white kit

I wanna do the same as you!
Im new to this forum but is it possible if you can tell me what you bought? post a link from ebay or what not where you got it from thanks!

When I had my hid pnp kit for a few weeks I made some mods. I used foil tape to correct the shitty cuttoff piece. basically made it so that both sides were even, and it actually had a decent cutoff. aftet a few weeks I noticed it actually had less width than the stock halogens, and because the arc in an hid is not as consistent as the coiled filament when it produces light, the beam pattern is very spotty and irregular. Another thing I noticed was that me reflectors were actually oxidized badly, but since you have aftermarket reflectors they should be ok. Then I finally had enough money and bought this.

PNP Upgrade: Bi-xenon - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc

anyways here are some pics of the different setups i went through.

This is with the stock halogen, the cutoff is actually quite good.

As you can see the HID kit was a lot brighter but the cutoff was crap. and it had a huge hotspot right in the middle.

d+farms-albums-d+farms+lights-picture23793-invoited-55w-5000k-hid-9003-modified-cutoff-i-added-some-aluminum-foil-tape-cut-off-shields-able-eliminate-glare-typically-assosciated-non-projector-hids-notice-how-cut-off-line-few-inches-shorter-one-problem-i-need-fix-actually-cuts-off-about-50-feet-sucks-id-like-have-cutoff-angle-parallel-ground.jpg

After the cutoff modification the beam pattern spread out a little more and obviously had a better cutoff, however the hotspot was still there which overpowered the left and right side making the beam seem very narrow.

With both on you can see the actual cutoff is not bad at all, but the hotspots again really killed the effectiveness of the kit.

this was shot at the same location and around the same time of day, as you can see the backwall has no light on it coming from the projectors, and the backwall appears dark even though it was actually being lit by a lamp, which you can see some of the shadows from in the other pictures. the projectors were easily 5 times brighter than the pnp hids in the stock reflectors.

So all in all this was my experience, You can upgrade to a good quality easy to install projector for 175 bucks now that you have a kit with ballasts, If you choose to do so.

Before I wrecked last year, I had original 1998 headlights and had HIDS installed and they worked out really well imo. When I wrecked I opted to replace with the clear lens 2000+ headlights and this made my HIDS the same way as yours. Spotty and wouldn't make a good pattern. When one of my bulbs blew I put regular headlights in this was much better. I plan on going back to HID but projectors will be installed first.

Congratulations on pissing off and blinding everyone that you pull up behind or pass on the road. That light dispersion is terrible.

Edit: just noticed this thread was from 3 years ago, but my point is still valid.

You really should look into either getting some proper HID projectors or going back to halogen... I flash anyone who has glaring, bright, obnoxious PNP HID kits... There still is hope though take a look at the retrofit sources website and start doing some research also make tacoma world account because there is an ongoing group buy on there for 25% off anything on the retrofit sources web site. there are a lot of resources available here to help you not be that guy on the road so take advantage of them
