HID & Halo's

Hi everyone. I'm in the buying mode and I wanted to get some HID's and Halo's. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which ones I should get & where I should get them. Or do you think the Halo's aren't a good idea? Ideas would be appreciated. I did do a search and nothing specific came up, I am planning on replacing the whole headlight assembly too, just an FYI.

I'd just do a retrofit if I was you. Don't worry about the halos.

I have the Halo and HID's i got both from xtralights.com. I recommend the 4300K HID Kit, I purchased the HID's seperate though. but you can just get the headlights with the Halos then, get a seperate H1 Bulb HID kit, H1's Buld is the type of bulb in those new headlights in both the High and Low Beams

X2. Go with a true HID retrofit since you're running non-projectors. I'm not a big fan of halos but if you must, you can add it with the retrofit.

Why not get a higher output halogen bulb that your light housing was designed for instead of going with a grey market (and universally illegal) HID kit?

dont know for sure but ive heard some bad things about the halos, leaking, terrible projector, leds & rings burn out soon, imo, if u want projectors, swap in some from an 06+

I agree with your statement, I don't however agree that they are universally illegal because they are not....

Although each state has different laws governing automotive lighting, installing an aftermarket HID kit in a factory DOT approved halogen headlight is illegal for use on public roads. That's why most sellers of HID plug and play conversion kits will usually have a disclaimer stating "for off-road or exhibition use only" to cover themselves.
