HID install question

Hey T4Rs,

Just purchased 8000k HID kit for low beams and fogs. I figured low beams are easy enough to figure out, but I have no idea how to install fogs.

install for the fogs should be the same as the low beams, factory wiring goes into the ballast, wiring that came with kit goes from ballast to bulb, pretty much plug and play.

It is pretty much the same as the low beam install, but you should have enough factory wire to go directly to the ballast without any type of extension. I mounted the ballasts for the fogs on the backside of the sheet metal lip just behind the headlights and the factory wire with the bulb connector for the fogs reached... I did have to trim the plastic shroud on the factory plug and the the polarity is opposite of the clip design. I used some electrical tape around the lip on the ballast to create friction to hold the plug in place and it works fine. Then just connect the bulbs.

Good luck and remember to keep those bulbs clean... I used isopropyl alcohol to clean them before I installed mine.
