HOLY SHEEP SHIT BATMAN! $800 bucks I don't want them that bad.
Ok, I do but I'm not spending that much. I think what I'm gonna end up doing is buying a set of the hi/low projectors off eBay for less than $100 and finding some headlights at wrecking yard or even if I got the JDM ones for $150 I'd only be in $250-$300. And try doing it myself. Heck if I screw up the light angle which looks to be the hardest part I can still sell em for $750 right? I'm just kidding, really tho it don't look like its that hard to fabricate. I can do it, I saw a video on YouTube:becky:

Wow, I wish I could have watched a YouTube video that taught me how to properly retrofit in minutes. It's not rocket science but I have definitely learned a lot in the 50+ lights I have retrofitted.
Buying eBay hi/low projectors is definitely an option. Is it cheaper? Yes, it sure is! Are the components equally as good as the more expensive TRS stuff? Absolutely not. Will the light output reflect your price paid? Absolutely. Is this the best way to do this mod? Probably not...
Not trying to be an ass and I am slightly bias because I built those $800 headlights but... for the price in the above ad, your getting a professional installation of QUALITY FX-R projectors and parts by someone who DOES care about the "light angle". Your getting OEM equipped Philips bulbs. Your getting a moisture/fog free seal. Your getting new TYC housings with imperfection-free lenses. Your also getting a product that will stand up over time and will not rattle free with offroad use.
I'm not discouraging you from trying to build your own, but you get what you pay for just like everything else. My time and experience building these lights is worth something and I actually believe his price to be pretty reasonable knowing they have never been used.

The set I built had about $450 in parts alone.
Paying $350 for the labor is actually very low.
Even if you find someone in SoCal to do it for you they will want $350-$450 for the labor.
I did my own but it was a huge amount of work.

Yea I wouldn't recommend buying HID's or projectors from ebay. I have a friend who just bought HID's on ebay and the ballast took a crap on him the day he installed them. He was unable to get any sort of customer service. It pays to pay extra for the good stuff

Rickashay does top notch work. Everyone I work with asks me "what kind of bulbs are those?". I then explain that they're projectors (then get confused weird looks) and are about 7 steps above the blue halogen bulbs or blinding, annoying hid kits. Once I describe the work involved in retrofitting projectors into halogen housings, they begin to see its a vastly different ball game. I LOVE my headlights from Rickashay and headlight hookup, my favorite and most useful mod to date.
