Are these really Xenon? I thought you needed a ballast for Xenon? I'm thinking they are just halogen lights with some xenon gas in the bulb to so they can call it "Xenon gas charged".
what's the definition of HID? How high intensitity of a discharge to you need to be considered "HID"?
Anyone happen to know of these Ebay "HID" lights are any brighter than OEM?
True Xenon HID bulbs require over 20,000 volts (from the ballasts)to ignite the Xenon gas inside them even though they only run at 35w. These may work if you have HID from the factory, but 4runners don't come that way so you'd have to buy the kit. I again highly recommend Xenondepot because their wiring harness is plug and play, and the bulbs and ballasts are Phillips not some no name Chinese company.
