Does anyone know the temperature (in Kalvin) of the stock/ OEM HIDs on the Prius? I the only reason I ask is I am going to buy am after market kit for my Runner and need something to benchmark the color to.

Stock on toyota and many others is 4300K.

Lexus may use a 4300-4800K bulb.

I'm not sure what the Prius HID's are but I installed 4300K in my 4runner and I've been really happy with my choice. They're really bright and white. The higher #'s...6000K, 8000K...are supposed to be more blue/purple. I attached some photos, not the best but hope they help.

yes, all OEM factory equipped HID with D2S and D2R are rated at 4300k. new lexus (LS460, ES350..) are equipped with new D4S system are rated at 4800k which is slightly bit whiter

from wat im told the stock temp of them is 4300K but they seem blue because they dont use a projectors but ill get back to with 100% after i hear from a buddy that has a prius

or if the bulbs are already color-shifted. philips 85122 bulbs will color shift to slightly blue after certain burning hours. orasm bulbs will color shift to slightly purple.

i got the word from buddy who is a prius owner and they are indeed 4300k
