HID's in 2006 sport

The flap or "squirrel finder" that you guys are talking about, does this bring the cutoff up? When I installed my HID's in my 2006 the cutoff is now extremely low, my vision was cut off at least 50 yards compared to my regular stock bulbs. I imagine this has a little to do with my front rake/stock suspension but would folding the tab bring the lights up a little?

I have the morimoto plug and play h11 kit from TRS and absolutely love it. I've been very happy with the quality, and the light output. They also work well in the stock projectors. I have done a retrofit on my other car, and am very familiar with both styles.

Did you install these yourself? Was it really plug-n-play? Im getting ready to do this on my 09 and just looking for some install experiences.

If you are not looking to open up the headlight housings, you will need the H11 kit in the second link. The first one requires you to open the housings and replace the projector.

Yes, I installed them myself. Those pics were taken right before they went into my car. Over 2 years and still going strong, here's a pic of them installed.

How'd you know what the shrouds look like before choosing one?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. There's a drop down box with like 12 different shroud options but I don't see pictures of any of them and I was just curious how to find out what the different options look like.

AFAIK the plug and plays don't come with any shrouds, just the ballasts, bulbs, and wires
