HIDs Installed but??

Installed my 5k HIDs couldn't be happier with the look and how much better they light up the road. Though I got a problem I need a brighter looking or whiter looking high beam bulb to solve the white and yellow ish
please help

HID ballasts (unless you go really high quality) take a few seconds to warm up and are thus not good for high beam applications where you need to flicker them. I'd go with silver stars or another high quality halogen for the high beams. Or get an LED bar to supplement the headlights

well I mean Im just looking for bulbs not really anything to expensive but i don't want the cheap lame rice burner cars look

Philips VisionPlus 9005VPS2 - Automotive Headlight

There is a "philips vision Extreme", but doesn't come in 9005 bulb (highs). This is a "step down", but shouldn't be too expensive and plugs right in!

I'm assuming you don't want to go HID on the hi beams.

You probably have 35 watt HID's for your driving lights, you could get a set of 55watt HID's for your high beam...

I actually find it interesting you even need a high beam, my HID set up is plenty, in fact I cant remember that last time I needed my high beams.

When I am off road I have my LED light bar, but that is a different topic.

I guess I don't use my hi-beams very often. But Hella/Optilux offers a white bulb at a reasonable price. Or you could look at HIR bulbs. Easy base mod and they slip right in.

I am using the Hdlla/Optilux in my wife's Honda CRV with good results.

Did VLEDs ever introduce the new version of the bulb? $120 is alot for a bulb, but (old version had something like 1800 lm, new one around 2100 lm) seeing the specs, could be the LAST bulb you ever buy.................

I have some Xtreme White Plus PIAA 9005s and they match OK but I'd probably buy some cheaper Nokya bulbs if I had it to do again. I have the 3000K versions in my fogs and they work very well for $20, whereas the PIAAs were like $60.

I think the PIAA Xtreme Whites have more yellow than my 5000K HIDs. All the other brands I tried like Silverstar, and some others that were available locally, were also too yellow.

I also had good luck, in my old truck, out of the off brand eBay bulbs that list a specific temperature.

well light bars are soon to come after i finish my roof rack build and I do go off road a good bit and I live in a very very rural area those damn deer like to ya know surprise you

I found some phillips crystal white bulbs I'm probably gonna get for like 30 bucks nothing to expensive just something to help for the time being until I get the light bars
