I finally got my lights installed, i did 3k on the fogs and 6k on the headlights. the passenger fog was a pain in the butt cause of mounting the ballast. here is a few pics ill try and get better ones at night. the lights look clean from what i can tell in the day light, although not as bright as i had hoped for the headlights. i havent driven at night yet so i shall see....overall install took about 45 mins for all 4 lights. <BR><BR>

Sweet! Who's the vendor of your HID kit? How much? Been thinking of 3000k for fogs.
 
Your next mod you should concentrate on these bulbs, maybe superwhite LED's for your running lights and chrome amber turn signals?

no you are right i agree...ive been thinking about it..but i dont mind the amber look either. so in the meantime im working on getting the things i really want out of the way then i can look at the smaller things. it does look nice thouh on your ride

and for <b>Uneek's</b> question i used the same guy i bought the kit from on my 3rd gen. you can email him at [email protected] and im sure they can hook you up. the kit was $130 shipped.
 
I also have 6K for the head lights. 3k for fogs look great. I will have to buy one. I have Phillips super white bulbs for fog and they look good, but 3K look better.

I already ordered the LED running lights, thanks Fo_SheeZy!

Can't wait til I install them:cool:

do you find that the yellow really over powers the white? i was driving last night and had them both on and the whole road in front of me was yellow...i could see great and the yellow reallly lights up the road. im not sure if its cause of the bulb, the location or what? but to me it drowns out the headlights a lot.

How difficult was it to convert?

I have an 2003 4th gen. with Halogen.

I would want to change the entire headlight unit. The current OEM are scratched and starting to turn yellow.

Did you have enough room in the existing chassis to mount all required pieces?

How must custom fabrication was required?

well, if you can change a headlight you can install a kit. the only thing extra is the ballast and you just tuck that away somewhere. the fog lights were harder to find a place to hide the ballast. im not sure of a conversion to the 06+ projectors though. search around on the forums ive seen a few people do it...but you can also stick with the same headlight housing and do a HID kit, it will just look a little different due to not being a projector.

You are right, that is something I never thought of. The yellow from the fog lights will drown the white from the headlights. honestly, I don't know if I want to only see yellow on the road.

Maybe I should get 6000K, same as the headlights
 
for me it works perfectly, the yellow lights up very close to the ground and my white is still white, thats how it suppose to b, never had any problem.

and you have 6k head and 3k fog? mine are close to that but from the inside of the car i mostly see yellow. with the edge being white. i guess ill need to drive more with them and get a better idea.
 
The yellow fog for me is non-issue since I don't run my fogs unless I have to due to weather conditions. White light doesn't help much when driving in snow, so I welcome the yellow light.

Thats is beautiful. I completely misunderstood what you meant. I think the ratio of yellow over shadowing the white is good. The Fogs made the ground glow and the white extended further out. Makes a beautiful combination. I
