High idle

Hey there-

I recently replaced the contacts in the starter, cleaned the MAF, new wires and plugs, also had my mechanic replace the #6 injector due to codes.

Im seeing idle RPMS in park and neutral after warm up at 1700-1800.
In drive at a stop with brakes on the RPMs are at 1100.
Doing 65mph the RPMs are at about 2200.

Those numbers are the same now, as they were before I pulled the EFI fuse for 30 minutes and filled the tank.

Whats next, the IAC? or is there something more simple I might be missing?

Check vacuum lines. Usually one cracked or loose can leak and cause problems. Make sure everything plugged in.
If ok, IAC is a good place to look, but also a faulty thermostat or coolant temp sensor also makes high idle. You mentioned efi fuse, but try disconnecting the battery for a bit to reset the ECU. Can't think of much else right now, maybe someone else will pitch in
 
Thanks [MENTION=97478]BlazeRunner[/MENTION], I'll head down those in that order. The vacuum lines are tricky I feel just cause there are so many and its easy to miss a leak.

Just got to work, 45 miles. When I pulled into the parking lot I noticed my RPMs, when the 4runner is stopped with the foot brake pressed, are 600.

Here my experience with high idle just recently.

Mine turned out to be IACV. However, since you mentioned the injector was replaced, it could be possible that the intake plenum was replaced improperly (intake leak can cause high idle), but that's less likely than just a "typical" vacuum leak. However, check the hose to IACV itself, sometimes it can come off when trying to install the throttle body.

The idle seemed normal at lunch and on my 45 mile commute home, so weird.
 
I have been noticing that sometimes when I start the truck, after warming up, it will idle normal. Then with out touching the brake or gas, the idle jumps up again. Sometimes it will fall back down with in a minute or two. (AC off)

I was at the dealer ship this morning picking up bushings I ordered. They quoted me around $264 for the IAC and gasket!!!!
Im going to attempt to clean it our camping trip this weekend.
 
I have to update this one.
After cleaning the IAC I had a good idle but then I ran into the same problems. Even threw a code for the IAC. I replaced the IAC with oem and also the TPS.
I was getting 14-15mpg on the freeway before the maintenance. Today I was getting a 21mpg average to and from the beach. About a 20 mile trip through LA traffic. Crazy
