High mounted stop light bulb replacement

Does anyone no how to get the high mounted stop light bulb out it is the one above the window. The book says use a flat head screw driver with a cloth on it and pry out the clips. When i tried this the clips never come out and i cont want to break it. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Here's a picture of it that might help. Knowing where the clips are is sometimes half the battle.
