I am a new member and tried using the search function to see if this was already addressed but found nothing.
I have an 08 4Runner, 4WD, Sport. I bought it new at the end of 07 and it is still under warranty.
When I hit speeds of about 70-80 (I know, dont speed...) I hear a high pitch noise that is pretty loud. My sister has an 06 4 Runner and she is having similar problems but at even lower speeds (50-60 mph). She took it in and they told her it was her Sun roof and there was nothing they could do about it. I also have a sun roof but I cant exactly pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
Is this an ongoing problem? Is there anything I can do about it? I am still under warranty and so far they have fixed my warranty issues with no problem (radio went out, passanger seat was not calibrated correctly for air bag).
Any ideas or suggestions?
