Just had a new alternator (purchased from advanced auto) put in tonight. When I went to pick it up from the shop there was a constant high pitched beep noise from the driver side dash that we could not get to turn off. They tried to clear all the codes (all lights on dash were lit up.) They said they believe its the ABS "box" bc when it is unhooked it no longer makes the noise. They also said there is a recall on this part. I contacted the toyota dealer and they said they were unaware of this recall.
Does it sound feasible this is the problem? I had no issues at all before the alternator. I had it towed to the service shop, not sure if they damaged anything.
