Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

05 SR5 V8 with 263k
Was watching this 4runner auction on ebay.
It's got 263,000 miles. Just saw it sell.
Wonder how the V8 will stack up against the V6 in long-term reliability?

Under $7 is the lowest I've ever seen a 4th gen sell for. But with that amount of miles and being a 2WD, it makes sense.

Jesus that is a ton of money for that truck with that kind of miles and not even 4x4

My 2004 has 197,000 miles on it. So i might be second in high mileage
Runs strong. Planning to drive it into the ground
My 2005 has 127,000 miles on it. I just sold it for 7,700. Wasnt in great condition cosmetically. But it ran strong!

My daughter's (mine formerly) 04 Runner, purchased new Halloween of 03, had 175,000 on it last year when she got in a wreck and totaled it. Other ladies fault.
That vehicle was the best vehicle i've owned in my life from a reliability standpoint.
All i ever did was Mobil 1 Syn, every 5000 miles, plugs every 30k, all the major fluids at 95k, along with shocks/struts, brakes at 120k, and they still had alot of pad left.
The only failures i dont blame on the vehicle, the kid submerged it, literally, and shortly after i had to replace an idler pulley, alternator(it melted internally, dripping goo into the AC clutch) and the A/C compressor from melted alternator goo. There was water up to the roofline when they drove into a river, so i blame teenage stupidity not the vehicle design.
