Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

2004 V8 with 203,850 miles. I've got records for every Toyota service from delivery in 2003 up until the month I purchased it in 2015 with 151,000 on the ODO.
You're a lucky sob.

Have all the records and plus that v8 motor is known to last forever.

I'm almost to 140,000 miles on my 2004 V6 SR5 but it is losing coolant per the accessory tank, so unless that is an easy fix (radiator, hose leakage, etc.), I'll likely be fixing the head gasket soon.

210 miles on my v6 sport, no leaks or usage.
Always ran 35's or 33's so mileage is higher than 210,000

09 Dec bought an 03 V8 LTD, AWD, XREAS, 247k miles, needs a bit of attention on clear coat on the fender flares, leading edges on the roof rack and a tiny dent on the hatch door, 6 disc CD player might not be 100%, everything else is just fine, all lubrication just changed, $4600:)

Might be the the last vehicle I ever buy!

Hard to believe the X-Reas is still working but then my 04 went 225k before switching to reg shocks. Getting real close to 250k.

2004 T4R V8 SR5 2WD @106,000 miles

I’m impressed to the 4Runner that has reached 600k posted on the previous page. It’s amazing and impressive!!
I think It would take me next 50 years to catch up ..

On my ‘04 No major problem thus far. Driving mostly on paved roads. Change oil (full synthetic oil) + oil filter at every 5k miles. Air-filter at every 30k. Have drained and fill trans fluid once. Rotor changed once. Front brake pads on 3rd sets. Rear brake pads on 2nd sets.

I thought I had a lot of miles on mine but I’m glad I don’t now haha. I just hit 184k on my ‘05 V8 SR5. Looking forward to joining you 300k guys!

04 V6 at 225770 today. I've only had it a month. Currently in the midst of hauling 2000lbs cross country for our move to Portlandia.

Silver is going strong, but just lost a heat shield this morning, need transmission flush, and some fresh sway bar bushings. Fought through the Wyoming winds like a champ. All in all, an amazing ride.

This is my first 4runner and the forum has been a priceless resource. Thanks ya'l!

It’s encouraging to read about all these high mileage trucks. Makes me excited to get one soon.

2006 V6 SR5, just surpassed 205K.

Purchased a few months ago at 198K and turned her out as a hard commuter (to/from Manhattan 5 days a week). Needed a few minor things when I bought her (leaky front shocks, torn cv boots, destroyed catback, etc).

Definitely want at LEAST 500K out of her, so I started a fairly intense preventative maintenance program immediately: all new fluids (incl. tranny "flush"), filters, new catback, 4 new tires, various headlight bulbs, new wheel hubs and axle half shafts (took me 2 days!), cleaned throttle and MAF.

Just noticed pink crusty leak on side of radiator, so ordered all parts necessary for coolant system refurb (radiator, thermostat, water pump, belt, pulleys, etc). Planning on replacing front struts/end links (tore 'em when I installed axles)/sway bushings, as well as rear shocks. Gonna do pads and rotors on all 4 corners when it warms up a bit.

After that, she'll be good as new! LOVE this truck!

White 07 Limited V6 just hit 180k. Bought in 2013 with 128k miles. At 11.5k/year, I still have at least 10 years until I get into the 300k club! Regular full synthetic oil changes every 5k miles since I purchased.

To do:

Replace catalytic converters
Lift kit
Bilstein front and rear suspension
Interior and exterior detail
Engine overhaul (at some point)
4WD service (locks when in reverse in HI4)
Sand off rust and apply rust protection

Any other suggestions for high mileage maintenance to keep this puppy going strong? Thanks.
