Techno's 600,000 miles is awesome and we all wish for the same with our T4Rs, but up until about a month ago Techno's was the highest mileage T4R I have seen or heard of, but check out 3poli08's 804,000 miles, click on the img link in the quote below and then click on the photo to enlarge it to get a good look his odometer!!

I read somewhere the ticking noise is common for V8's. They come from the lifters in the cams. I have them too. I also have exhaust manifold leak from living in the north where they salt the roads. Had a section repaired for $1200, I am sure I will have to change the whole exhaust manifold sometime soon and get the timing belt service done too. :hurt:

Biggest maintenance item done was a radiator replacement.
And for the record, it's not my vehicle, it's a friends and he's not on the forum. He's an inspector in the gas drilling industry and drives all over western PA area, does about 50k miles a year.
Mine has 125k and I've had to fix more shit than I care to list, haha
804K, that's unbelievable.
I have 222500 something with the original water pump which is by far my personal mileage record.

If you don’t mind 2wheel drive and the car is well kep that isn’t a bad deal, between 175k and 250k in my opinion not much difference, same maintenance parts need to be fixed at intervals and the engine and tranny if cared for right is bulletproof.
You might be better of waiting and paying 6-7k for a nice 4wd sport or limited v6 or v8 with around 150-200k miles.
I payed $6000 for my 2005 sports edition Fwd v8 with 218k miles from original owner and it’s well kept but the paint does have some chips and fading on side panels and fenders as kelly blue book would call it “fair” condition and say it was worth 4500-5000, but I couldn’t pass it up (I was impatient and needed a vehicle, some would argue I payed too much) And I am at 238k miles just 6 months later and have dumped a bunch of money around 4K+ into new suspension and other upgrades/maintenance, wheels tires, exhaust hids, etc. and I have 0 regrets and am very happy! I plan on driving this vehicle to at least 350k before I consider selling and and I have a good mechanic for fixing whatever little parts need to be done if any problems do arise but so far so good

Any update on mileage. With Tundras hitting the 1million mile mark, would love to see a 4runner with the 1GRFE do so as well.

Just purchased a stock 07 Limited V8 yesterday with 175k. Super clean, one owner with great maintenance records and it runs very smooth. I would never have considered a vehicle with this mileage without finding this place so I'm looking forward to seeing how far it can go. I hope to be posting as the odometer reaches some more 'respectable' levels for this thread.
