Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

Love to hear that you've still got the orig V8 with that kind of mileage! Mine has towed a 5,000 lb travel trailer all over for around 4-6 weeks out of the year since 2005 and has about 230k miles - no issues to speak of.

My wife is a little nervous about the mileage, but I tell her #1 it's a Toyota and #2 this engine is one of the best they've made.

So 335K is awesome to hear! Keep it up! :trophy:

Congrats on the V8 purchase! I'm pretty sure you could get an option for leather seats on the sport. I have the original sales brochure and could check that if you'd like.

337k+ now. Keep up on the timing belt and basic maintenance and the 2UZ will run forever.

Thank you loving it so far going camping this next weekend. I appreciate that, but another member already got me sorted out and ran the vin for me! :cheers:
 
2006 Sport v6, just passed 218k. Really no major work done. I just replaced the original water pump, radiator and power steering pump last week. I did have to replace the manifolds/cats 3-4 years ago to fix that stupid catalyst issue. Other than that, its mainly routine maintenance stuff.

Yeah, it seems around the 175-190k mile mark is when a few things need replacing. Then from what I'm seeing - and what others have said - around 230k front suspension parts may need it.

Boy are we spoiled!! Anybody remember the days when if a vehicle reached around 70k you were thinking real hard about getting rid of it? (of course, that was in snow country and the body was getting rusted pretty badly!)

It’s funny you say that, I did get the suspension totally replaced about 10k miles ago. I had the toytec kit installed. Not because it needed it, but because I wanted it LOL. Also ball joints were replaced at the same time.
 
2006 SR5 4.0L(Bought new), now at 296K. I had some items replaced at 200K just for peace of mind. Water pump, fan clutch, radiator, muffler, brakes(first time- when it's 100 miles between stoplights) hoses, fluids, sparkplugs, alternator, starter. Oil is changed at 3000 miles(lots of gravel, dirt roads). The left front axle shaft went out at about 180K.
 
340,543miles and loving it...

Bought with 223k miles (10yrs+/- ago)

Currently sitting at 340,543 miles

Just got done dealing with "stuck pistons"...

Just bought an 04 V8 with 233k. Hoping to take it well over 300,000 as a hunting, camping, etc vehicle.

I found no documentation of the timing belt/water pump being done, so it's scheduled for this next week. I'm going to try to have him take a general look at it while he's at it.

Am I nuts for thinking of taking it from southern MO to northern CO and back in November, if everything checks out?

Key word, "If everything checks out". Absolutely! Shouldn't be a problem.
 
Been on the lookout for an 06-09 V8 T4R, preferably with under 200k miles.

Always knew Yotas were damn near bullet proof, but this thread is making me more open to considering one with over 200k miles.
 
In reference to mine.....

The mechanic checked it over when he did the timing belt/water pump. He wound up replacing the sway bar linkage, thermostat, and serpentine belt as well. Only other thing I'm keeping a bit of an eye on is a small oil leak around the valve cover gaskets. It's not major, and I'm just going to monitor oil levels.
