Highest Mileage Engine Competition!!!

412,xxx on my 95 3vze leaks a little oil
405,xxx on my 85 camry (original clutch) RIP was my high school car so it got the beats
300,xxx on my 85 supra (5speed) all original

i just recently got a 93 3.0 that ive just finished rebuilding the top end on and its only got 174,xxx so looks to me like ill be driving this beast for awhile if i can get all the little kinks out lol

My Motor only has 11,000 on it. Yes the decimal is in the right spot, and it wasn't a rebuild. The chassis however has 205,000 on it. The tranny was completely from front to back including T/case rebuilt when the previous owner put the new motor in it.

It's been a long rainy, boring day at work so I figured I'd post the question of who has the most mileage on there 1st or 2nd Gen. T4R Engine (and still runs :wink2:)

I'll start it off with my '87 22R-E with 263,000 (rebuilt at 210,000).

Did you have any rebuild or repair on timing chain guide?

I have no idea... Original owner had it rebuilt. I bought it from the 2nd owner. Not sure if it was a top end, bottom end, or full rebuild. Dont have any paperwork.....

300k on my v6 but in the process of replacing the head gasket and other items that should be replaced when you tear apart an engine at 300k. Hopefully it won't die a thousand miles after I fix it:violin:

180,000 all original

My 84 4runner has 221,000 on it. Fresh rebuild cause it wasn't running when I got it. It got a new crank, pistons, head work, all the goodies. Hopefully it will last for a long time now

I posted earlier that my 85 4runner has 338,xxx on it. It is used for offroad only so it doesn't see alot of miles but it gets beat on everytime it gets started! :reddance:

Just got my 95 t4r 3.0 4x4 auto in feb with 240,000 miles, got 243 now. Motor running good. Got a little work to do on brakes...got ABS brake light on and brakes lock up if I hit them hard. Think there was a guy on here from texas with a 3rd gen with over 600,000 miles on same engine without any major repairs...always got his maintenance at a dealer he said.

Im 100kays away from Breaking 300000 on my 92 2nd gen. V6 5 speed, had a Head recall in 98.

Still seems fine, ill drive it till it stops and cant move under its own power :D

293,672 on everything but the new engine, which has 7k. It would have lasted longer if it didn't take a 10 gallon gulp of mud-water.....

Gauge stopped working 2 years ago, and still reads 324,000 miles. Original HG, original clutch, original everything.

I just got my 91 4runner yesterday with 272,xxx on it. It had the timing chain done around 10,000 miles ago but has a nice rebuilt 22re sitting in the back that cam with the rig. my pride and joy was my 81 SR5 4x4. I know she wasn't a 4runner but when I sold her she had 360,xxx on her. The only thing I ever did was change the oil. She still ran like a beastie and gave me no problems. I think the lesson of this thread is you cannot beat a Toyota!
