Cause i have a 05 that is real nice. The 98 is my work car and “I retire” next year, i wont need all the vehicles i now own. I drive a lot, which is why i own the 98. All those miles were put on just driving to work. I dont want the maint bills for a car with over 400,000 miles on it.

Yeah it will use about half quart every 5-7k between oil changes. But that's probably 75-80% just leaking out of the valve covers and rear main seal. The engine itself doesn't burn much at all really.
If I tighten the valve covers down I don't lose but a 1/4 quart between changes. But I'm lazy and don't want to mess with replacing the gaskets plus I don't like screwing with the valve cover bolts too much since it's easy to crack the covers. I'm cool with a little extra oil loss – just means free extra rust proofing down below...

Just bought a 2012 limited with 94k miles. Took her to jiffy lube and Toyota and had everything done to bring her up to snuff. Most expensive was fancy suspension.decided to keep it original. $1,400 for that. Took her to dent doctor to get out all those ugly dings. Detailed her myself since i’m The best - beautiful pearl white paint. Installed pedal commander. Lots of different opinions on this gadget but i recommend it - makes a difference in the speed of response of the car. I’m a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of girl when it comes to cars but there’s something that really appeals to me about this buggy. And i’ve Had ‘em all over a period of some 60 years. Maybe i’ve Finally found true love. Anyway, prob posted this is the wrong thread but i’m New to the group. Thanks for your patience.

How hard it was driven, oil / gas used, and good ol' "Luck-O'-The-Draw".
241,000 Miles on my 97' SR5 by the way, never needed anything outside of fluid changes and timing belts, as well as the occasional plugs / wires. Nothing remotely outside of regular maintenance.

We are on original engine and transmission at 362K.
Preventive maintenance 100% is what keeps it running. Don't drive like a dip-stick.
