Hilton Head?

Anyone places to wheel near Hilton Head, SC? Any spots to drive on the beach? Heading down for our yearly family VACATION the week of June 8th. First year with the 4runner, so I was hoping I could get into some offroad extra curricular activity!

Hey FatTiresRollin,

This section of the forum doesn't seem to get much traffic unfortunately. I am not too familiar with the Hilton Head area but I know I just got back from Fort Fisher, NC and was able to wheel a little bit on the beach. There is 4 miles of beach there that you can drive around on. Pretty fun for my first time out on a beach.

Hopefully someone will chime in with some help. Good luck to ya!

Hilton Head local for 31 years here

I am a new T4R owner and the answer is...no driving on the beach anywhere. Sorry...I landsail on the beach and that is the bomb!

Nearby? There was a 4x4 "Park" outside of Savannah somewhere as it was in a country song video by Dirks Bentley "5 1 5 0" ?! Maybe you could Google it or something. There is alot of unpaved roads in the country west of here...LOTS...but that is all I have, brother.

Drive on the beach? Daytona! Alittle section at Fernandina Beach, both FLA.

I have owned my '98 Limited 4x4 White w/silver package :bravo:since last Friday! Whoot whoot! Maybe we should go find some borrowpit or something?! Have installed new muffler, just purchased a tonneau cover for rear cargo on Forum a minute ago....another $$ pit! Love it!

salt water = rust . Personally I wouldn't even think about taking my truck near an ocean. If you really want to play on the beach just spray the crap out of your undercarriage immediately after returning home, even if you don't drive through water. Rust can literally start forming in a few days once you drive on a beach.

I'm from Hilton Head too and was actually just looking around and saw the park HHIslandT4 was referencing. It's called The Big Nasty ATV park. They seem to have some trails and stuff to go on but they specialize in MUD and ATV/Motocross stuff.
