Hilux Surf Wheel Carrier search

I'm looking for the wheel carrier (and if possible the sheetmetal below the taillight that is contoured for the lower hinge) from Hilux Surf for my '96 4Runner. Does anyone have a source for these before I go outside of North America to get one?

They have to be purchased from Japan. They really aren't just sitting around and you will probably have to buy a whole hatch. Whole hatch is not too expensive but the shipping would be.

Any particular source in Japan, or is this a hit Google sort of thing?

Yahoo Auction JP is what a lot of people over here use, in Japan.

But to get the tire carrier you would need the rear hatch as the 4Runner hatch is not setup for the tire carrier to lock into.
As for the plates behind the rear quarter panel I personally have not seen those for sale but that does not mean they are not out there.

I'm pretty sure I have a work-around for the latch; but I'd take a tailgate also if it were fea$ible.

The sheetmetal below the taillight (cut out of the quarter panel) is what I'm also after - it would need to be cut from a wreck in a scrap yard - I'm going to weld it in to my truck to mount the carrier as tight to the body as possible - keep those protrusions to a minimum.

Tire Carriers usually cost between $60 -$180
Rear hatch usually cost between $100 - $260

These are purchase and local shipping prices inside Japan, international shipping I have no idea on that cost.

The Tire Carrier is small enough and light enough ship through USPS if you could arrange it, but the Rear hatch is too large to ship through normal USPS mail.

A friend of mine imports cars and parts to the US from Japan, you could ask them how much they might charge to throw in a rear hatch and a tire carrier to one of their containers.
Mostly they do GTRs/S13s/Silvia and RX7s but they also transport body kits and such.

I'll add shipping is about $100 for the carrier. Prices seem about right for the carrier, hold out for a cheap one. I ordered mine from japan recently.

Shipping via normal methods isnt possible for the entire hatch.
