New to the forum and a new Toyota owner, though have had yotas in the family since I was very little. In May of 2014 I aquired a freshly imported 1999 Toyota Hilux Surf, SSRX Sub-Model. It has the 2.7L 3RZ (yes gas engine). Bought it completely stock with 121,xxx km's. It was originally from Tokyo and I am completely in love. So many cool little JDM aspects to it and it honestly gets all the looks. I have plans for quite a few mods but will have to see where funding takes me as I am still in school.
How she currently sits (October 2018):

- Re-geared to 4.88s
- Rear axle swap and Toyota E-Locker install
- MCM Fab Long Travel Kit (Packaged by SRQ!!!) with ADS coil-overs

- Double din switch panel (Surf's are triple Din)

- Complete Intake clean-up. Cleaned all build up and replaced all gaskets from the airbox to the valves.
- New upper control arms, bushings and balljoint
- Used (Off of a Tacoma) Lower control arm with new OEM LBJ and Red Poly Bushings
- New Brake calipers with OEM pads
- Valve cover gasket and major top end cleaning
- New OEM Spark Plugs
- New windshield
- Rear wheel bearings, ABS ring gears and axle seals
While this list pertains to a lot of cheaper Mods, I have a large list of things that I am wanting to tick off, but being a University Student sucks for funding!
Places the Surf has been:
- Oregon Dunes and road trip all the way to San Fran!
- Poison Mountain, Near Lillolet, BC
- Almost every trail in the Sea to Sky region between Vancouver and Whistler
- Lots of other trails around BC and Greater Vancouver
