April Update with modz galore
This seems to becoming a habit. Not posting for several months and then doing one huge post to catch up on everything thats changed or been updated.
Really want to start posting regularly, just not sure if there is the interest or not.
Anyways...... I have been super busy with school these past two terms but I have managed to pull of a few mods of decent importance.
Tundra Brake Upgrade:
Yes its been done before, but enough people have asked so i'll post it here.
Note, this is all on account of what I did and what parts I bought. Can be done differently.
Parts (not including tax):
2X Oem Toyota Rotors - (43512-0C011) - $130 each
1x Oem Brake Pads - (04465-35290) - $113
2X Cardone Calipers (from Lordco) - (19-2712 and 19-2713) -$150 each but with a $140 core!!!!!
I wont be going through the step by step of the mod as it is literally the same as replacing any old break caliper, rotors and pads.
I also painted the calipers with a brush on hi-temp paint as I am tired of my calipers always rusting.
I will say that you need to trim the dust shield. I snipped off about 1-2" of each corner in the opening where the caliper sits and also had to bend back the rest of the shield in a few places as the rotors are much wider. Other than this, new brake lines are not needed, just unbolt old and bolt on new.
I had a lot of troubles bleeding and I am not sure why but it works now. I did the proper bedding in process (twice), but the brakes still feel a bit soft as others have explained.
Something else to mention that I have not experienced before (maybe because I have never done the proper bedding in procedures), is that the fluid reservoir dropped to almost half during the bedding in process, but topped it up afterwards and all good now.

Slider Install:
Not much to be said here. Found a set of new TG sliders for cheap and a friend made up some bomb proof frame mounts for them. No pictures of them painted, but used rustoleum primer, paint and then rocker guard.
Ideally would have liked something with a kickout.. maybe one day.

So I will consider this as one mod, but there was a few components to it.
Friend put up 5x 315/75/16 MTRs for a decent price and just couldn't say no.
Decided to trim using [MENTION=67615]Dirtco[/MENTION] 's original trim method shown here on my truck:

The original plan was to do this trim and then see what else I had to trim after fitment (didnt have the tires when cutting). But after slapping on the tires... turns out I dont rub at all. Barely even when I'm flexed out.
Pretty happy with the 35's. No complaints so far.
