Hit and Run - Need new bumper/tail light

So this happened two nights ago. Never heard the person hit it, drove to work without noticing (it's on the passenger side) and then saw it about halfway through the afternoon.

Obviously pissed and now looking to see what the damage ($) is.

It looks like I'll need a new tail light PT: 81551-35400 - $240

Does anyone know the part number for the rear bumper? Or whether I will need to take a bunch of bits and pieces off of the old bumper to put it on the new one? Do they come painted or primed? Essentially wondering if I can save on a few hours of shop labor and replace it myself.

When something like that happens, the light is pushed into the frame of the truck, and often bends the attachment points, same goes for the bumper.

You don't have a damaged bumper and light, you also have a damaged quarter panel.

Bumpers don't come painted, BTW.

Make sure you get a new bumper that crack is bad plus I hate how toyota designed the rear bumper with the step pad integrated in. When the shop goes to paint that bumper they have to mask the step pad. Clear will never set right and it will over time start to flake away. Other than the bumper and tail light it's hard to tell what else is damaged. Best of luck to ya.

maybe time to consider a off-road rear bumper and have insurance help pay? It sucks though....sorry you didn't catch the jackwagon who hit you.

I also had a hit and run incident.... with a STOP SIGN, which is completely unacceptable considering the 2014s come standard with a backup camera....

Anyway, I hate to thread jack... but I've also been looking for bumper parts and I was fortunate enough to only damage a small, detachable piece above the hitch -- see pic below. I can't find a part number for it anywhere.... I've tried to look at OEM Toyota part stores online but didn't have any luck finding it, even with a parts diagram. Hoping someone on here would have an idea...

Hit and run by a pine tree; I wish somebody had got his tags. There was damage underneath the body:

$5200. The quarter panel and bumper had to both be replaced.

Dang. In June I hit a car backing out a parking space. Don't think I have any pics. These things are bad luck!
