Hmmm Is this Unusual? Wierd Transmission Geardown...

So Picture this...

You're driving along...so about 20-40km/Hr...then you let go of the accelerate...once in a while...you feel like the engine is 'BRAKING"...basically slowing down the vehicle...it's quite noticeable sometimes...the minute I let go of the accelerate to coast..around 20-40km/hr...it's like you feel like the tranny gears down with a slight thump and you can feel the car slowing down significantly.

Is this normal??

Down a hill or flat ground?

Hmm well yesterday it was going up a hill...in lots of traffic...that's why I was driving betwen 20-40...it only happened 1-2 times..

Most other times...when IT happens...hmmm I can't recall...usually down a slight incline is my best guess.

I've noticed the same thing, especially after I tap the brakes on a downhill incline.

I think from what I can tell..this is just a normal characterisitic of the tranny..I admit the tranny is very smooth...but has a few quirky characteristics...I guess to distinguish it from the Lexus 470! haha
