Homelink addition

I found the Homelink unit at partznet, yet the dealer says the car has to come from the factory with it. Can anyone tell me what I'm looking for when I pop the existing plate off. 2004 SR5 v-6

The dealer is wrong and anything you need to know about it is in the Homelink thread.

Your dealer is wrong. All you have to do is pop the old piece off and pop the new one with homelink in. If it takes you 10 minutes to install, it took you long. I have it on my 03 Sport. Dealer probably just wants you to get a Limited next time! :gaptooth:
